You've reached this article because you've experienced an issue while trying to export in Alight Motion. We've listed some of the more common errors below with some steps that you can follow to solve them. If none of the problems listed below matches your issue, please see the last section of this article to get more help!
Android Export Errors
1285 Insufficient GPU RAM
If you see this error message when trying to export your project, please know that this error is not due to lack of storage space on the device, but rather a lack of RAM or graphics resources. If you receive this error, please try the following steps:
- Reboot your device.
- Make sure that no other apps (especially video players or screen recorders) are running. The total resources your device has are used by all apps, and if another app is using those resources, Alight Motion may have trouble accessing them.
- Try exporting directly from the project list, rather than opening the project and going to the Export & Share screen. Long press on the thumbnail of the project you want to export, and in the green bar that appears, tap the Share icon to see export options. This will use fewer resources than exporting from inside the project.
- Try exporting from the project list in a lower resolution. This will use even fewer resources.
If the steps above do not work, you may need to simplify your project. In the error message, there is a timecode at the bottom after the "@" symbol. Please go to the mentioned time in your project, and try the following steps:
- Reduce the number of effects being used at once, especially blurs, glows, and edge effects, as these can be some of the most demanding effects to render.
- Reduce the number of video clips being used simultaneously. Even if they are hidden by other layers, they may use resources to export. (Note that tapping a layer’s visibility icon will effectively turn it off, which may improve performance.)

Export Errors (iPhone or iPad)
If you have any export errors on iPhone or iPad, please try the following steps:
- Reboot your device.
- Make sure that no other apps (especially video players or screen recorders) are running. The total resources your device has are used by all apps, and if another app is using those resources, Alight Motion may have trouble accessing them.
- Try exporting directly from the project list, rather than opening the project and going to the Export & Share screen. Long press on the thumbnail of the project you want to export, and in the green bar that appears, tap the Share icon to see export options. This will use fewer resources than exporting from inside the project.
- Try exporting from the project list in a lower resolution. This will use even fewer resources.

How to Contact Support
If the steps above do not help you with the export issue that you’re experiencing, please contact us at support@alightmotion.com! When reporting your export issue, please provide a detailed description of your issue and include the following items:
- A screenshot of the About screen. You can access this screen in the App Settings when you first open the app. It will have the Alight Motion logo at the top and information at the bottom about your device and the app.
- Screenshots or screen recordings that can help us determine the exact cause of the issue, including any error message you may have received.
- Please send us the project package that is experiencing the issue (only Alight Motion members), or the XML export of the project (all users). To export an XML file, go to the Project List, long press the project(s) you want to export, tap Export at the top right of the screen, and then tap XML.
This information will allow us to understand the issue you’re experiencing in more detail. Please also make sure to reply to any auto responses you may receive, and carefully follow instructions from our support team, so that we can address your concerns! Our normal response time is 1 to 3 business days, due to the volume of tickets we receive, but may be longer during the holiday season (our support team follows Korean and Indonesian public holidays).

Admin, I can't sign in Facebook or gmail account, what should I do? Keeps telling Provide error.
The thumbnail flashing on screen always happens to me in between the transition and its really inconvenient, I've tried doing everything you said but nothing works, it doesn't matter what kind of video it is it happens for every type of video with me including mp4 and even if I trim the first few frames it still happens, could you please help?

The problem is that when im exporting the video its just says "something went wrong while trying to render and encode your content for sharing" and the errors name. I worked on this video 2 days, and its really upseting that i cant export it.

Não estou conseguindo logar minha conta do alight motion quando vou importar um Projeto , já fiz de tudo , apaguei o cache, já desinstalei, já atualizei .. mais nada.
Sou assinante do AM. Consta apenas q sou assistente e pede p logar , nesse ponto q fica apenas um círculo girando... e não entra na conta.
Mais alguém com esse problema?

I tried to export my project, but if i'm at 47%, it sends me back to the home screen from alight motion. I did a screen record to show it better. But i don't know where to send it to. Please help me.
